Scott Slocombe is Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, Wilfrid Laurier University. His research has focused on different aspects of the management of large complex regions, including ecosystem-based management, regional planning, and environmental assessment for almost thirty years. Northern Canada, the Yukon, and other remote and/or mountainous regions have been the key locale for all that time.
